THE PROCESS

GrantEd serves Washington DC public and charter schools designated as Title 1or with no PTA support. If we ave partnered with your school, you may register with us to benefit from all that we offer. After logging in (in the upper corner of this page), complete your registration by answering a few questions through email. This information will be stored with your profile and will automatically be a part of any request you submit, making future application requests quick and easy.

The application process involves logging in, specifying the cost of the request, and uploading a video of no more than 60 seconds explaining or demonstrating your need. Applications will then be sent to revolving teams of volunteer educators who will review the request based on our scoring system. The goal each month will be to award as many grants as possible, keeping competition low.

GrantEd's goals include not only meeting teachers' classroom needs, but also creating a community of DC public and charter school teachers. Your GrantEd membership will give you access to "Educators' Exchange," a collaborative online forum with news, best practices, and resources for teachers. An events calendar will notify teachers of networking and professional development opportunities hosted by GrantEd. Contributions to Educators' Exchange are required by those who have received more than two grants in a single school year.

Teacher grants are possible in part thanks to GrantEd's annual fundraiser, Taste of H. Through this event, we appeal to DC businesses, corporations, and individuals to support our great cause. All teachers can help by attending and spreading the word. The bigger this night becomes, the bigger the reward for all DC public school teachers!
