Chris Clayton moved to the H StreetCorridor in the summer of 2012 and instantly knew he had found a home. “It’s where my creativity found a voice, where I have found an audience for my work, rubbed elbows with other creatives, and where I feel I truly belong, “ Chris says.

With a background in fashion design and retail, Chris created the CHRiS CARDi lifestyle brand. His designs feature U.S.A.-made menswear and accessories that fuse streetwear and sportswear, paying special attention to quality construction and details. The result? Thoughtfully tailored basics that suit the modern street wear aesthetic.

For the last three years, CHRiS CARDi has showcased a limited edition capsule collection to share his H Street love ahead of the ever-popular H Street Festival. But this year, he decided to up the ante. Chris says, “We really wanted to model our belief in social responsibility. If a small business like ours can support non-profits doing work in our community, then anyone can.”

Between various retail pop-ups combining art, music, food and fun, Chris’ team exceeded their fundraising goal by 25%. GrantEd is humbled, honored and thankful to receive a donation that will fund a lucky teacher’s next grant, proving once again the power and generosity of the H Street community.
